Colas timber wagons

I saw an article in one of the magazine's about how too modify some wagons tip make the various wagons for the timber train to chirk it goes past my signal box and three back of my house and I'd like too model it. Does anyone know what magazine it was and have any advice? Thanks Andrew willsher

It was in Rail Express Modeller. I think the one off annual they did a couple of years ago.

 

Mick Bryan, New Bryford on here wrote the article and did the conversions using a laser cut kit that Andy7 on here did?

 

You could if you wished use the Heljan Cargowaggon flats as is to represent the early colas timber operation with Virgin class 57 haulage?

If you're not too fussy, but want 'something like', you could always use the Cargowaggon flats, but attach scratch build  van ends with their cut-outs.
