RMweb Gold Stubby47 Posted June 23, 2020 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted June 23, 2020 (edited) A little more progress, but this is a real make-it-up-as-you-go-along construction. I think the roof will be corrugated iron sheets, but it might be slate. Edited June 23, 2020 by Stubby47 6

Some of the brick corners are a bit rough and need filling, but I also want the dilapidated look of a building about to be demolished.

RMweb Gold SHMD Posted June 26, 2020 RMweb Gold Share Posted June 26, 2020 Looks really good Stu. What/If are you going to use for railings? I don't blame you if you don't have any. The ones I did were fiddly enough! Kev. 1
RMweb Gold Stubby47 Posted June 26, 2020 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted June 26, 2020 I have some thin plastic rod to use, but this will be left until the building is in place. The roof needs a trim and a ridge piece, the roof itself needs shaping to fit the backscene. The vertical edges of the 'sheets' will be drawn with paint and a thin black pen.
RMweb Gold Stubby47 Posted June 26, 2020 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted June 26, 2020 Needs more rust and the sheet edges defining but starting to get there. 8

RMweb Gold Stubby47 Posted June 27, 2020 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted June 27, 2020 Behind/to the left of this building I need something to sit in the corner and also balance the town hall type structure on the right. This old warehouse in Redruth might fit the bill. You might just be able to see the Up main line to Truro at the base, this is positioned just to the north/ east of the tunnel at the end of the platform.

Is the slab some grey card? Cheers - Jim Hi Jim, No, it's a very thin slice of insulation foam, the big thick sheet stuff with the silver coating ( Kingspan , Celotex).
