Morning all..

Thank you for the support but it really isn't a drama. Annoying at the time but things generally happen for a reason.

To continue with a project you have got to be happy with it. To be honest, I think I went the wrong way about Bleat Mk1. Having built two layouts in two years there was no reason I couldn't build a third in three, was there?

Had the point not thrown itself under the bus then I may well have continued in the knowledge that I wasn't truly content and that is not ideal. I would have finished Bleat as I had agreed to exhibit it in Jan this year...................but............

Bleat Wharf will re-emerge but in a different format. A touch simpler and more in keeping with the original location......

Therefore, this thread is not closed.

And no, I have no idea why I have a quote from Stubbers at the top of this........

Rob

Good decision Rob, if you're not happy move on. DM4MS, as I brought to Taunton last year, was too big, too ambitious and ultimately no fun,  so it's been scrapped in favour of Mk2.

Looking forward to your next masterpiece.

Seems every time I post I am quoting Stubbers..............

A further couple of rustic views to keep things going.......I am thinking that there will be more grass than concrete....

I am looking forward to seeing you weather the cute little B4 tank loco.

It seems he hath at least two of them! Including 30089, which I used to see as Shed Pilot at Guildford. These are exceedingly cute little locos, but I really don’t know how I ended up with three........

Well, it appears that the first trains have run on Bleat Wharf MKII.

A 4F shuffled a few wagons with no real issues. All electrics worked as per and a pleasant hour was spent.

Next job is to sort out a slight snag with the fiddle yard and we are good to go with the ground cover.

I now have a couple of lengths of track to finish the fiddle yard off and this will conclude the track laying.

A bit more testing and we can start on the ground cover.

Tidy.

Well, track laid so fiddly yard completed as per.

Fettling conducted and the transition from fiddly yard to scenic section much improved. Still a bit more to do but decided to call it a night.

Overall a good hour or so.

Up early so a comprehensive evaluation conducted regarding the operating possibilities that Bleat Wharf offers.

Oh and I also gave a final tweak to the fiddly yard/scenic section entry/egress orifice, smothing things out accordingly.

Rob.

There's nothing better than a smooth orifice.

You set 'em up. I'll knock 'em down.
