We certainly did Jesse, hopefully we will get to have another fun day playing trains and being politically incorrect.

Jesse Sim
On the weekend is the Forestville model railway show, as part of the BRMA I will be demonstrating for the entire weekend. It’s a good day to get things done, I will finish painting a kit, put transfers on half a dozen and then hopefully start on another DS kit. I decided I wanted to take some of the stock that I have already finished and some I’m part way through. So a bit of woodwork today and I’ve turned a hamper box into a stock box.
Jesse Sim
An excellent day spent with Barry Oliver of this parish, before he fly’s home to the wet and cold. Played some trains for a few hours and talked about the meaning of life before a couple of beers at the local watering hole with a good aussie pub feed! Here is making out he’s actually driving the proper eastern stuff! And then blabbering away with my old man A most enjoyable day, two friends playing trains and talking sh*t, nothing better. Safe journeys back home Baz! 18

Jesse Sim
Feeling very professional out at the Forestville model railway show. Spent most of the day adding transfers to wagons, planning on finishing a DS kit tomorrow.

Jesse Sim
Don’t you love it when your mad ideas work.... I had a pair of these David Geen L&Y single holster wagons gifted to me by a member of the BRMA, they were very easy to put together and they run beautifully. I liked the look of them running, but wanted to add a load, but i knew I wouldn’t be able to glue the load on to both of the wagons otherwise they wouldn’t pivot properly. I couldn’t believe it, I actually used my brain before going in with glue..... I decided on glueing the pipes together first, then glueing the chain to either side of the wagon and a small dab on the top of each pipe, allowing the wagon underneath to pivot ever so slightly, just like the real thing and it works! Another project was to build a SEF chassis and place it under a Bachman j39 Body, well here it is so far, far from finished, but it shows how it sits and I think it looks perfect. Needs a bit more weight added and the chassis finished, but she’s getting there.

It's towing a GS tender with a high frontplate - the rarest tender type behind a J39. Regards, Tony.
gr.king
If you check reliable drawings, or copy good photographs (or even a good model) it isn't dreadfully difficult to hack one of those tenders about to produce the earlier low-front version.

All of them are towing the far more-typical smaller GS tender (in one case with stepped-out coping). Dave Ellis does this type. Regards, Tony. P. S.
