RMweb Premium melmerby Posted April 1, 2018 RMweb Premium Share Posted April 1, 2018 (edited) MKRob, yes I did, sorry. Will correct original post They are £5.45 +VAT (still 11 in stock) (if you spend £30 at Rapid postage is free and as it says it's Rapid!) Butler Henderson
Seems to be a mis-description on the Rapid site - they are describing them as having limit and polarity switches yet when you look at the technical details the one at £5.95 ex VAT (Rapid code 59-1100) only has a limit switch. The one with the polarity switch is stated as being Rapid code 59-1099 which when you search for it is stated as being discontinued. micklner
Seems like a bargain. What do you guys think? https://railsofsheffield.com/bundles/4/-suburban-bundle-set-of-5-lner-teak-gresley-suburban-passenger-coaches Sadly these are the "MFI Pine look version " which are dreadful, enlarge the photo to see what I mean . They are so bad IMHO they should have been withdrawn from sale, hence Rails desperately trying to offload. They could be good to buy, and use them as a base for MJT etched sides, albeit at a lot lower price. Buyer beware. That's a little unfair and unjust. MFI Pine was much nicer than that. They might make MDF on a good day....

Norfolk1
My local B&Q store in Fakenham are selling off dulux tester pots for 10p each . May be useful for painting baseboards backscenes etc. Not sure if it is applicable in all stores but looks like dulux have redesigned their tester pots and changed a few names of colours so presumably the old ones are no longer needed hence the 10p price. There was basket full down the paint aisle and a basket full by the tills. Be warned they scan at 50p and staff have to take the 40p off individually on each one during checkout , so if buying lots like me your fellow customers may be waiting a while! My first post on rmweb so bare with me if it’s not quite right!!

RMweb Premium newbryford Posted April 3, 2018 Author RMweb Premium Share Posted April 3, 2018 I know bargain hunters is usually UK stuff, but for those of a US wont. Sound fitted for less than $100. https://www.walthers.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=f40ph+sound+walthers With import duty and Parcelforce handling fee, it still looks like a good deal. RMweb Gold tractionman Posted April 5, 2018 RMweb Gold Share Posted April 5, 2018 (edited) Oh ok, I probably meant split headcode..... just spotted that Hatton's have a 'new' news item on the arrival of 'a bulk amount of new-old stock items': https://www.hattons.co.uk/NewsDetail.aspx?id=270 I see this now includes all 4 types of Heljan "Falcon" for £94, reduced from £125. AND the Bachmann all green 37 is there for £117 (http://www.hattons.co.uk/182175/Bachmann_Branchline_32_787_Class_37_0_D6714_in_BR_green_with_no_yellow_ends/StockDetail.aspx) Plus Heljan 58s for £96. Bachmann Class 101s from £94, eg http://www.hattons.co.uk/32710/Bachmann_Branchline_32_900B_Class_108_2_Car_DMU_BR_Green_With_Speed_Whiskers_with_8_pin_DCC_socket_Destinat/StockDetail.aspx Lots to tempt but saving for the Barclays... cheers, Keith Edited April 5, 2018 by tractionman

Must have another look at what they have. The 101s are actually £89 and up - not bad at all, especially considering they aren't easy to find new at any price. Edited to add: the Falcons all seem to have gone now. Edited April 5, 2018 by Coryton

Edited to add: the Falcons all seem to have gone now. blimey those Falcons must have really flown (ahem) off the shelves as I saw >10 available of each when I looked earlier this afternoon! the £89 class 101 is the BR blue grey one, very good price, but for some reason when following the link to the 101s from the news page (http://www.hattons.co.uk/stocklist/SiteResults.aspx?searchfield=Bachmann%2032-28%20class%20101) the green one does not appear, but if searched separately it is there, showing as >10 in stock at the mo (http://www.hattons.co.uk/32710/Bachmann_Branchline_32_900B_Class_108_2_Car_DMU_BR_Green_With_Speed_Whiskers_with_8_pin_DCC_socket_Destinat/StockDetail.aspx). worth a search around on the Hatton's site it seems. cheers, Keith

RMweb Premium Kris Posted April 6, 2018 RMweb Premium Share Posted April 6, 2018 O gauge bargain Dapol / Lionheart 2 coach B Sets from the Hobby Shop Faversham are £350 + postage (about £7). Given that these have a list price of £470 and most shops are selling these for £399, this strikes me as a good deal. 4 coach sets are £600 + postage. Again given that these 4 coach sets seem to be £699 in most shops it strikes me as a bargain. http://hobb-e-mail.com/lionheart-trains-1071-c.asp When I have purchased from this shop before the service has been good.
