Bargain Hunters Mark 2

Recommended Posts

I have seen a video advert on Facebook with the sale of over 20,000 overstocked items used in the construction of Miniatur Wonderland. The advert states it is only vehicles and planes.

Nothing really jumps out from the website, but it is possibly this.

Item for the BR blue brigade.

Cheapest I've seen the pair of weathered with passengers mk1 with the nse flashes at 60 notes:

https://railsofsheffield.com/products/30669/Bachmann-39-003-oo-gauge-mk1-coach-pack-br-blue-grey-with-nse-branding-

(Other link given was to a class 33 using old tooling with incorrect roof profile, why Heljan think its a good idea to distribute those is anyones guess.)

Edited by H2O
Remove link as old tooling so not really a bargain.

I noticed there was some more stuff on there yesterday whilst looking for something else but got distracted and didn't get chance to put the alert up.

There is a Network Rail MPV now (previously just Railtrack ones which are a lot more common at knock down prices) at £104:

I was tempted by this myself but don't need anymore NR stuff.

I also thought these EWS VBAs didn't look bad value at £10.99

I know this probably isn't the correct place to post but thanks everyone for notifying about all these bargains. I've got some great stuff in the past few weeks thanks to people posting.

Those DMUs are very good value and Inalmost but then realised they are really a bit old, they have the old solid TLC by the look of it.

Having said that I too have indulged there the past few weeks also.

I got caught on a model railway website yesterday and got some disgruntled looks. Followed by "you're not buying MORE trains are you?"

I think if I had been watching something dodgy it would have gone down better!

Oh my lords I need to stop browsing the Hereford site, just put my third order in lol.

a couple more stand out bargains IMHO:-

First up a JHA for under 24 quid a pop, 2 in stock. That's a girt big wagon for the money:-

More my bag, but I'm not tempted oh no I mustn't ... 3 pack of Presflos for under 47 quid, plenty in stock: reckon that's about half the price of the current batch:-

To some women there's nothing dodgier than a model railway website!

The Hornby 101 has a newer, much better, motor, better profile wheelsets and is DCC ready, bargain for the price!  And the bodyside windows are in the correct place!

Was just having a browse, and noticed that Frizinghall Models have two rare bargains in their pre-owned section.

Bachmann 31-676k Collectors Club RfD 85 for only £125 - https://www.modelrailshop.co.uk/p/39886/Bachmann-clas-85-Electric-Doncaster-Plant

And a big one IMO, a Bachmann/Locomotion GNR Atlantic in BR Black for only £125 - https://www.modelrailshop.co.uk/p/39889/NRM-Locomotion-GNR-Atlantic-BR-Black

I love the Atlantic but I've spent too much this month and I can't justify it!
