Hornby Cowes Terrier £67.50, cheapest i could find it

Bure Valley and Colletts

http://www.burevalleymodels.com/p/15106/R3812---SR-Terrier-0-6-0T-W10-‘Cowes’-Era-3

https://www.collettsmodelshop.co.uk/product/Hornby-r3812-class-a1-terrier-0-6-0t-w10-cowes-in-southern-railway-olive-green/

I bought from Bure and received the next day (wow it's a small loco and stunning, the re-tooling Hornby did has certainly made a difference, now to try and get a stay alive in it), i have bought from Colletts before and had good service (im trying to spread my purchases around a little with the smaller shops).

Not a bargain as such, but Howes are offering free postage on Railmatch paints if you spend over £20...

https://howesmodels.co.uk/product-category/model-railway/railmatch-paint/enamel-paint/

Perfect timing to restock some paint.

I needed some weathering colours and the five jar diesel weathering pack is included in the postage deal.

Quite like that actually......in an oddly different way, great value.......while on the site Iclicked the option for the compatible sound decoder, made me think for moment when a sound decoder is £20 more than the actual Loco it’s going in   please this is not a “sound decoder are too expensive” comment, just made me think for a moment.

I don't mind it, and if it wasn't for the fact have just bought 2 Hattons ones with another 2 on the way end of next month I'd probably have bitten because it's a good deal. My point about being undesirable is that they normally don't struggle shifting special liveries but this has been discounted to this level on and off since Christmas

Mentioned before, i’m surprised they are still here...

Dapol Black label A4 in OO (factory seconds).

I took the plunge and ordered Silver Fox... diecast metal A4, with DCC sound and two speakers.

it has no lights/smoke or the manual, but it does come with sound, extra fittings, tyred wheel, fixed catazzi and the Cab rain sheet.

under the hood fitting a £20 Seuthe could get me back to smoke, and <£5 can get me a whistle.

£160 is quite a saving on £399.

Hereford models have almost the full rake of the previous release of LNER Mk3s at £31.50 each. Only one missing I am aware of is the buffet car which can be had from Rainbow for £39 by the looks of it, or the new one pre ordered for £31.50 from a lot of places.

As far as I am aware these LNER coaches are sought after (maybe less so now they are doing another run), so RRP minus 10% is fairly good I'd say.

Only one left now :)

I'm guessing the whistle is missing because it's attached to the missing fancy smoke unit?

Although, not my cup of tea; I thought the best deal on there was this:

http://www.monkbarmodelshop.co.uk/model-railways/oo-gauge-model-railways/Bachmann-oo-locos/38835-30-525-shakespeare-express.html

Bachmann 'The Shakespeare Express Train Pack - Includes GWR Hall Class 'Rood Ashton Hall' - 3 Chocolate & Cream Coaches - EFE Stratford-Upon-Avon Open Top Tour Bus - Loco is DCC Ready (8Pin) - OO Scale'

DCC-ready Bachmann Loco, 3 coaches and a bus for £150.

In comparison, The Station Pilot with a small tank loco and 3 coaches and an oval of track is £250!
