Bachmann class 37 dB Schenker £125

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bachmann-32-381L-OO-Class-37-37419-DB-Schenker-Limited-edition-CLEARANCE

trains4u limited edition although curiously costs more on their website cheaper via eBay

Weirdly enough don't these seem to be available from quite a few places despite being Trains4U exclusive? Also unless there are differences in postage costs it must have been reduced since you looked on their site:

http://www.trains4u.com/p/44234/Bachmann-32-381L-Class-37-37419-DB-Schenker

On the subject of 37/4s, this one is hard ish to come by at around this price (although I bought one on eBay for less second hand).

https://www.themodelcentre.com/32-389-Bachmann-oo-gauge-class-37-4-37421-colas

Whilst some Bachmann 37s come up cheaper, not many places seem to have these left given the age of the model and in the real world it has been doing some miles with Caroline recently which is what drew my eye given I have a Revolution one on order.

Ah thank you yes hadn’t looked for a little while if I had and realised it was the same price as eBay would have bought direct to save them the eBay fee!

cheers

One for the modern image modellers, Hereford models, a selection of used Bachmann 66s £75-£85 all weathered, the Ews is renumbered too, the best bargain in my eyes is the colas 67 for £95!

43AD83B9_6D26_4ADD_98C8_D253BB7E671E_552

still some Dapol class 22s for the £85 mark as per my last visit a couple of months back

Just a reminder that the Ian Allan Bookshop in Waterloo has 33% off models from today until it closes down at the end of Oct (personal callers only). I guess a lot of the high profile models will disappear fairly quickly but things like track and accessories tend to linger yet are rarely marked down by retailers as they are normal 'stock' items.

Despite the closure there were new release models in there from Hornby and EFE Rail - presumably ordered before the closure announcement. They even had a pair of Hornby DRS BSOs newly delivered yet available for under £24 each (no TSO though.....)

I popped into Ian Allan this morning around 9.30, decent amount still available. A few highlights which stood out for me were two Bachmann NSE 117’s for £220, and a Bachmann Green SYP Thumper for £170. There were a couple of Bachmann 37’s available in different guises too (WCRC, DRS in Sound and non-sound, one in grey with Railfreight General decals) and several other things too such as various Hornby HST Mark 3’s (plenty of XC and GWR sliding door ones). To my surprise they had a solitary blue EFE Rail Hymek available too.

They were going through a stickering exercise when I popped in this morning, it’s not a flat 33% off from what I could tell - for example I took a Hornby B12 to the till for £137 thinking I’d get 33% off but they were selling it for £116 not the circa £90ish quid I was expecting. It’s not a complaint or a gripe, just a heads-up as to the pricing, still definitely worth a visit as there is some good stuff available.

Popped in there regularly over the years, will be sad to see it go. Best of luck to the staff there for the future.

It WAS the Amazon slow selling stock algorithm.

Back up to £471.50 this morning.

And out of stock so at least 2 of the 3 went for less that £300 which is quite the bargain if that sort of thing floats your boat.

Often the price jumps back up if you look at it funny.

Well, it was near enough half price compared to the Hornby list price!

If a potential purchaser was thinking of getting one and the Hornby/Amazon price tag was keeping the wallet welded shut, then the price cut must have sprung a few seams...

Might as well - not many actual bargains posted here any more...

Well it's all somewhat subjective, but Kernow still have plenty of new Bachmann coaches at around the same price that they are going for second hand on ebay, and quite a lot less than current RRPs.

I don't think this has been mentioned so far?  (A wee bit much "off topic" stuff for my liking at present!)

TMC exclusive Bachmann Plate  and Double Bolster wagons (OO).

Some of the non weathered ones are £19.96 instead of £24.95.

Best I can do seems to be this page:

https://www.themodelcentre.com/searchanise/result?q=plate+wagon&page=1&rb_finish=Pristine&rb_scale=OO+Gauge+(1%3A76+Scale)&tab=products&sort_by=price&sort_order=asc

Or list with their weathered ones:

https://www.themodelcentre.com/searchanise/result?q=plate+wagon&page=1&rb_scale=OO+Gauge+(1%3A76+Scale)&tab=products&sort_by=price&sort_order=asc

Also one of the twin packs of the Double Bolsters weathered at the same price as the unweathered ones:

https://www.themodelcentre.com/38-826z-Bachmann-oo-gauge-double-bolster-wagons-twin-pack-freight-grey-livery-m726282-e286444-weathered-by-tmc

Care though needed as some of the listings and titles seem jumbled?

I was given a few for my birthday earlier this year.  They are good, if expensive.

I did mention above, if the offer's still on, use code DIRTYOO for a further 10% off already reduced TMC-weathered items, plus free postage on orders over £60.

Just worked and whilst it then dropped the order to below £60 the free postage still applied

EDIT - Just noticed whilst the weathered bolsters are £49.56 more than 10% was deducted as the order total with £4.96 off should have been £57.28 but I was charged £56.01 equating to 12.75% off.

Slightly left field bargain. Amazon are offering £10 off on their Prime day (in a couple of weeks) if you spend £10 with a variety of small retailers. Having done some browsing, there are some scenic items that fall into this category.

Don't know anything about this outlet, Hobbyking, but one or two bargains appear if you type Hornby in the search bar. Example below, DB 67 for £85..... also lots of other modelling related stuff at what appear to me quite reasonable prices
