Why on earth would one power car and a dummy be worth £300???

Because people will pay it if it is what they want.

On the subject of HSTs, there are 2 NMT packs and a plan FGW pack at Hereford Model Centre for £200 each 2nd hand. I thought the NMT packs normally go for north of this and I know FGW stuff is sometimes sought after although I think this is the coaches mainly (and probably less so now there's some more on the way)

Hi,

Perhaps they mean ANE Models decoder rather than AE Models?.

Hi Nick,

No we are correct with AE Models, they are a fairly new brand of decoders which are NMRA compliant and offered by DCC Concepts.

They offer:

8 Pin 4 function

6 pin 2 function

21 pin 6 function

O Gauge 6 Function decoders

They are very competitively priced and come with a wide range of unique features straight out of the packet

We have a few in stock at present:

https://www.kmsrailtech.co.uk/brand/36-ae-models

Thanks

Team KMS

Hornby mailing list had a few new "bundles". Some of them are... questionable....

However, Hogwarts for 100 GBP in scuffed packaging from their value bundle is pretty good https://uk.Hornby.com/products/scuffed-packaging-hogwarts-express-train-set-bunhhp13

Of their hobby bundles the King Arthur plus 4 (5 pictured?) Maunsell coaches for 250GBP seems like a great price https://uk.Hornby.com/products/arthurs-return-bundle-bundleh5

Same with a Royal Scot and 5 Stanier coaches at 265 GBP https://uk.Hornby.com/products/ranger-rover-bundleh8

Others are available, but I don't really "get" their mystery bundles, their Southern and Eastern bundles don't appear as good value. Actually, the mystery bundles are really bothering me - they state they're "selected to match", but... really? And then two modern traction for 250gbp... okay, but they could give me two railroad 66s and walk away with 100gbp of my money?

Their other value packs (coach expansion packs) seem pretty decent, the LMS one in particular. https://uk.Hornby.com/products/ranger-plus-bundleh9 Six for 153 GBP

In case anyone wants to dip their toe into 3D printing this is supposedly (according to HotUKDeals) a good deal:

https://www.box.co.uk/Creality-Ender-3-3D-Printer_2324683.html

More insight on here:

I was thinking of making scenic items specific to my layout such as canopies etc to suit my station

Are we allowed to comment on this thread? My comment saying that bundling a Scotrail loco with a 4TC from the south of England was a strange combination seems to have disappeared.

Typically if you're not including a link to a bargain the posts seem to disappear - trying to make it focus on the bargains.

And to stay onside, and plug my favourite little model shop (no connection, just like them), here's a Bure Valley link for a Bachmann 2EBP at 160GBP. That's 30% off, down from 210 GBP. I can't find it cheaper than 170GBP anywhere else, and the box shifters no longer have any in stock http://www.burevalleymodels.com/p/8234/31-379---2-EPB-2-Car-EMU-BR-Green---Full-Green-Ends

There's a green with full yellow ends and a blue/grey NSE.
