Cross posting from my post in DCC section.

Amazon are offering an insane deal on the MRC Prodigy Advance 2 as $215, currently 4 in stock (I've just nabbed one)

And even with UK shipping and UK import tax, plus payment in GBP with amazon currency conversion, it should work out at around £210 (based on Amazon quote, not sure if this is full tax coverage though).

https://www.amazon.com/MRC-0001414-Prodigy-Advance2/dp/B000MKTB0I

I understand that any warranty issues would involve shipping back to USA. I've taken that risk but might not be for everyone.

But if you do, its Prodigy Advance 2 product at Prodigy Express prices

Hornby Railroad LNER P2 R3171

On Amazon at £82.99 with free P&P on standard delivery.

Do not use Amazon's own search box;  it comes up with all Hornby products and a set of cotton sheets!   If you get stuck, do a Google search for "Amazon Hornby R3171".   It's much more reliable.

Beware of the usual Amazon bombardment of additional charges for express delivery and trials for Prime etc.

Hattons appear to have sourced a supply of several varieties of new Hornby wagons which were last listed in the 2011 catalogue.  These have the big Railroad couplings but the newer finer scale wheels.  Currently being offered at 20% discount on 2011 prices, so a basic 7.49 wagon four or five plank wagon can be bought for just six pounds.   Seeing how prices have risen over the past ten years these must surely represent good value for money, either as collectors items or for a weathering project.

Scroll down the page past the second hand stuff and about five different brand new wagons appear, more than ten of each in stock.

Edited to add:- Or near the bottom of the page, a pair of "New Era" wagons for nine pounds.

Hattons ( and maybe others IIRC) offering Hornby Colletts (and some Hawksworths) at around 30 quid a pop when buying a few:-

Also Colletts at KMRC:-

Not sure if it has been mentioned here before, but Amazon Warehouse can be a source of some interesting Hornby bargains: https://www.amazon.co.uk/s?k=Hornby&i=warehouse-deals&ref=nb_sb_noss

Currently features a Q6 for £88.33 (although its a picture of a B1), A2/2 Thane of Fife for £121.15 and 2x Yellow Submarine Eurostar for £104.54.

Plus Free postage!

All returned items, so classed as used and in varying condition - usually damaged packaging.

Worth checking from time to time for updates.
