Is this nationwide?

My guess is the prices will be but the stock in any specific shop will depend on what they have left over from their pre-XMAS buy in specially stocks, our local ASDA for example didn't have any in before Christmas so doubt they will have any now at the clearance rate price.

Avoid.

Photos are harvested off the internet and eBay.

Spot on, I worked for Hobbycraft some years ago and that was the way things were done. I assume it's the same now.

Generally the price will be governed by head office. So any stores that have them will show the same price. You should be able to ring your local store to see if there are any in stock and they will reserve it for you.

See https://www.hobbycraft.co.uk/storefinder for the nearest store and number.

I had a look around my local Hobbycraft and both large Asdas.

None of them had any train sets, at any price!

None to be seen in the Cardiff Hobbycraft or Coryton ASDA.

But I did come away from Hobbycraft with quite a few other useful bits and pieces, including a paint pen which is something I didn't know existed.

Edited to add:

Curious - Hobbycraft have the Christmas Coca Cola set on line at full price...

Those photos have the infamous Gostude written all over them.

I'd suggest to avoid him, and this listing, like the plague.

At least Gostude will actually send you the stuff you pay for.

This is just a scammer nicking pictures off eBay.

I wasn’t suggesting anyone should buy, but that site came up via Google. Is there no control over what appears via Google?

Is there a facility to report a scam site?

There should be some way to report it to Google so they drop it from their search results.

What that way is doesn't seem to be that obvious...

I visited the Hobbycraft at Bridgmere garden centre near Crewe yesterday and took away the last of their £12.50 train sets. Agreed, there's plenty of very useful other items there too, at good prices, but I was very short of time so will be returning tomorrow.

That answers the question of whether I head there for a look today. Perhaps a trip to the Telford branch instead.

Hobbycraft Havant have been relieved of their last

It was marked up at £50.00 so I queried at the till. It's 12:50 sir we just haven't been able to get the reduced price labels on them

So worth checking if your local store has some still showing 50

I was in my local branch of 'Hobbycraft' (Romford) yesterday and they are selling the Hornby Christmas Train set at an agreeable £12.50, not bad for an oval of track and the controller, let alone the locomotive and wagons.  I can't find it on the 'Hobbycraft' website, so it might be in stores only or that might be me!

They had about five sets left in Romford, upstairs right at the back, next to the jigsaws.
