RMweb Gold Robert Shrives Posted February 13, 2021 RMweb Gold Share Posted February 13, 2021 The only time I bought rizzla fag papers in anger was to glue over holes and poke droppers through , but I would think you should be able to slide some in and obscure holes - at least it will stop errant ballast jamming the PM - just like on the real thing ! Brilliant work and doing the first under peer scrutiny is doubly brave !

RMweb Gold Regularity Posted February 14, 2021 RMweb Gold Share Posted February 14, 2021 Nicking an idea from a late friend, I would have a piece of thick paper, as wide as the spacing between the two timbers, with 1mm wide slots about 4mm long for the droppers.

Indomitable026
Why do we go to all this length to produce our own track? Below is a comparison with a Peco code 75 ‘Y’ point. Mainly built for the American HO market and largely following their practices, this is generally what has been considered the norm in the uk for many years. I think you’ll agree the difference is considerable, with every component and dimension being different. Spend some time looking and comparing - the more you look, the more you’ll see! 9
LBRJ
Inter City Models used to have similar compare and contrast the tracks on a display board on the stand and later in their shop at Porthleven - There really is no comparison!
RMweb Gold Enterprisingwestern Posted February 14, 2021 RMweb Gold Share Posted February 14, 2021 Don't get downhearted Damian, keep practising and you will up to to Peco's standard before long. Mike.
