So does this - clean, less clean, dirty, very dirty and OMG it looks like it's covered in sh*t dirty

And you can have it in pink.

Bearing in mind they seem to be period limited to late very late 90s onwards, I'm not surprised they haven't sold that well, as the contemporary scene is only a subset of modelling as a whole. Also, it's not like we would buy several sets each even if we do model the period. One unit is really all you'd need unless you're into modelling a departmental depot.

That said, I'm trying to think of reasons to justify one for the Sayersbridge and Penmouth, if I could comfortably do a repaint into some other livery.

For anyone who wants a cheap cordless drill for £29.99 with 3 Years Guarantee/Warranty. It seems like a good deal if you need a cheap cordless drill or a back up cordless drill, even though there is only one battery.

https://www.aldi.co.uk/workzone-12v-li-ion-cordless-drill/p/078800164708800.

There is also some drills & other tools that may be of interest.

NB Edit

Had a look at the cordless drill tonight. I suggest you have a look in the shop to see if it's what you want.

So now any retailer can gain free commercial advantage by using another manufacturers forum page to list their offers?????????

I've got to agree, whilst it is a great bargain, I really don't think we should be allowing retailers to start posting commercial posts in the forum... if this is allowed to continue we'll soon have the forums flooded with commercial messages from all the different shops and retailers... keep it in the bargains thread or in your own sub forum model shop guide....

That would be infinitely better than the regular wishlists and frothing that seem to regularly take place all over the internet about things that dont even exist

At least this is a real item, for sale as a real bargain, if such a thing is what you want

I think it's because it's the older livery. The Network Rail one seems to be sold out everywhere or still at a higher price.

Jason

4 NR transfers should be within most people's ability to change era ;) that's all they did on the real ones.

There are three in alternative liveries on Wessex.

Pink, named John Denyer because John the head of SWT fleet happened to say they'd paint a train pink over his dead body. Note it got the old NR logo (without sunburst).

http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/89034-south-west-trains-new-pink-orange-mpvs/page-2

That's the only one painted, then the other two which are vinyl wraps.

Orange, named Dick Preston, on his retirement as head of Eastleigh NR maintenance unit.

Yellow for Keith Lemon on his retirement from the SWT training school.

Although I think it may be better if Rails had a general bargains topic within their area it is worth noting they contribute a good amount to the running costs of the site.

I will move the topic to their area.

It is a bargain and a fab model with considerable modelling potential given the range of things NR has done/tried with the MPV, from experimental timber (MPV plus OTA's) and container trains (covered in RE magazine) through to the OHL renewal train that is various MPV units and wagons joined together.

And if you have the ability you can do some pretty good stuff with it:
