It was a smashing little show, I abandoned my friends in Devon and left early just to see it! It looked well patronised and I met some familiar faces.

The main reason I went was to see Andrew's 'Weston' and 'Clevedon' layouts together. Superb modelling and good to see Weston for the first time, for a layout that's been in storage for so long it's really good!

Bob was on the WC&PRG stand and we talked about his efforts to make replicas of plates for the WC&P locos. Really nice work.

This is an original sleeper, my friend has one of these in his sawmill yard, we use it to keep the gate open (apologies for the sideways photos).

Note that the large brass nameplate worn by the original 'Clevedon', the ex-Furness replacement, and the Dübs 2-4-0T, has a full stop cast in to it.

Bob thinks this might be a trademark of Walker Bros. locos. Does anyone have any photos or information on this?

A layout I'd wanted to see for ages was 'Corris 1930' by Rod Allcock. Sublime. I love the depth both horizontally and vertically, and the way the train snakes through. Rod showed me some of his locomotive creations which are masterpieces in miniature.

The Colonel Stephens theme was strong with a very high standard of modelling on the layouts.

I liked this one as it's the same 'bash' I want to do to a Bachmann Wild West coach to make a light railway coach.

Robin's K&ESR layout was a joy to see again, although I only took two photos of it.

This 7mm light railway was very impressive (again apologies for sideways photo)

All in all a really nice way to spend a few hours. Well done to the organisers and exhibitors who made it possible.
