Peter Hands - What happened to steam

I was saddened to hear of the passing of Peter Hands.

I didn't know Peter personally but I had communicated with him via Email on several occasions. The last Email I received from Peter earlier this year was for him to confirm the identity of a Locomotive that My Father took of me standing in front of a WD 2-8-0 at Bletchley Loco. Peter not only confirmed the id but also the date the loco was present at Bletchley. For that I will always remember him. 

 

RIP Peter.
