BigAndy
Just a quick local weather up date. We had a mild scattering of the white stuff last night, but if it's more than 1cm deep, I'll eat my hat! All the roads, including side roads are perfectly clear and it's currently Sunny in Macclesfield. Just packing the toolbox up and some stock for the demo stand, so I'll see you all later. cheers Andy
Long Line
Set up day is upon us once again. We've been out early this morning and put up the local YELLOW traffic signs, to guide you from the centre of the village to the show. Roads are clear as is the sky and its fresh and bright day here in Poynton. A safe journey to everyone over the next three days and lets see if we can make this our best show yet. RMweb Premium Dava Posted December 8, 2017 RMweb Premium Share Posted December 8, 2017 Hoping to get across on Sunday to see the gauge 0 layouts & other attractions, very much depends on the weather, i.e. Snow. I grew up in Macclesfield so know what the hill roads can be like if the snow comes in from the West! Dava

Long Line
End of a long and hard day sees the show laid out. The stewards pulled the stops out once again to see us ready earlier than ever for exhibits. Which have come in from far and wide unhindered so far and we hope this continues. Conditions in Poynton are clear dry and cold but the roads are all open and gritted. A couple of alterations to make and report on sat but otherwise we'll be full and opening at ten am as predicted. Cheers to all who arrived and those yet to come. Mark Edited December 8, 2017 by Long Line

We try and get a good mix but are restricted by what folk will bring or do...its hard! cheers mark

Dava Good job we are not in mac then...or in the hills, or only approachable only from them...NE edge of Cheshire plain gives stunning views, good clear roads and high rate-able property values! (the only draw-back i can see). Yes a good selection of 7mm this year: as a taster of things to come next year! cheers mark

Long Line
Despite the weather paranoia weve had a clear mostly dry and fresh day. People have visited the show from close and far afield and weve had a great day enjoying some top modelling. Rest now at the end of another busy day in readiness for our busiest Sunday. So if you fancy taking in one more show before Christmas? We are set up, full and the doors will reopen at ten am sun! Persephone
Unfortunately despite the lack of white stuff there, the glut of white stuff here means I wont be visiting today as planned ;-(

Long Line
Well its official..it didn't snow at the venue or for a considerable distance from it either on both days; but based on the last few years numbers: 188 persons stayed away regardless, we must presume because of the media hype over the weekend? Anyone know any news reporters that would like a swift kick in the bolxxx right now...i'm your man to do it! Fortunately we are made of sterner stuff at The Model Show, so we carry on regardless in 2018...but with a twist!..which was arranged long before this weekends fiasco. So see you again maybe?...on 15th 16th September 2018, at the usual address, for our largest and most varied model show yet, with 20+ layouts, including.... '7mm North' on the Saturday with many specialist traders, demonstrators and layouts! Watch our website in the new year for the full details For now Merry Christmas Mark Edited December 13, 2017 by Long Line
