I never met him but I always admired his work especially in the Janes' series of the 1980s and 90s. Another good man gone I'm afraid. While I never knowingly met him, our correspondence spanned many years, beginning in the 'seventies in preparation for his "World Electric Locomotives" and was renewed with contributions for "Jane's World Railways".
