admiles
Sadly I only ever got to see 56301 & 56303 from the Fastline fleet. My viewing being limited to East Anglia with the very occasional trip to "foreign" areas. My thoughts go out to all the staff and their families affected by the job losses. Hope you all find new employment soon or the company is sold as a going concern. Anthony
Willy
Great photos Jim, thank you and also thank you to beast66606 for the videos, they are very useful to someone like me who cannot see these things day to day. . :icon_thumbsup2: I would have liked a 56xxx in Fast line livery but sadly I missed it when it was available from Rail Express and I am reluctant to pay £125.00 which is what I have seen one advertised for!! Steadfast
A bit of a late comer to this, hope you don't mind me sticking some pictures of Fastline's work in the south west on the thread Jim. The end is a real shame, and I echo the comments of the previous posters, I hope something works out for you My first picture of a Fastline working, 56311 passes Thingley working 0Z56 Derby to Portbury route learning trip. 28/8/08 And next my first photo of a Fastline liveried train, virtually fresh out of the box 66305 works a train from Avonmouth to one of the Midlands power stations past Hullavington on 27/9/08 A surprise appearance at Callow Hill, 66304 speeds down the gradient with another unknown working from Avonmouth to the Midlands 21/3/09 66305 brings the 4V09 Chaddesden to Portbury empty Fastline coal hoppers down Ram Hill 23/7/09 DRS locos make for an unusual sight at Thingley as the reflective stickers on 66416 catch the last of the winter sun as it heads from Derby to Bristol Temple Meads working the 0Z56 Fastline route learner 20/11/09 A going away shot of the same working, it seemed somewhat approporiate with the sun setting on Fastline And finally today's working, a Colas on the coals. Follwing the demise of Jarvis, including their Fastline Freight arm, the locos and stock previously in use with them has been put into store at various sites across the country. 47739 'Robin of Templecombe' and its train of 21 IIA coal hoppers is about 30 minutes down as it passes Avoncliff with 4Z47 from Gloucester yard to Eastleigh 13/4/10 Good luck for the future Jim! cheers jo
