I hope you don't mind, but I've taken the liberty of re-orientating your image.

Nice image by the way.

Thanks. I like the 68 and 88 class locomotives actually. They look and sound good which is unusual these days. Also like the traditional names on the 88s revived from the 76 and 77 locomotives. Edited by ianmacc

There's a rumour on another forum that the first appearance of a class 68 with a Nova 3 Mark 5 set between York and Scarborough is due to take place on Friday 25th January, although there's nothing showing on the schedule as yet.

The times are now in the schedule on 25th January for what is likely to be the first visit of a TPE class 68 and Nova 3 Mark 5 set to Scarborough.

Now that Dapol's class 68 in TPE livery has been released in case anyone is interested in doing a very light weathering job on it, here are a few photos of 68022 Resolution and 68027 showing the subtle weathering that is now taking place, particularly on the bodysides.

The photos were taken at York on 18th February 2019.

I think these are stunning looking locomotives, especially in TPE livery. Glad I purchased Brutus in TPE livery when I did. Just need Accurascale mk5s now and they look like they are progressing well.

Here’s 68027, Splendid, on Thursday, 26th September, this year. Wet weather conditions, but it still makes a fine sight at Scarborough station, platform one. It was waiting to form the 16.44 departure.
