RMweb Gold SHMD Posted January 3, 2019 RMweb Gold Share Posted January 3, 2019 Do all the 68s have "shark's teeth" on the plough? Kev.
Steadfast
I presume they're bolts to loosen off to lower the plough. 60s have a similar setup Jo
ianmacc
I hope you don't mind, but I've taken the liberty of re-orientating your image. post-34390-0-18093500-1546531872_thumb-1.jpg Nice image by the way. Thanks. I like the 68 and 88 class locomotives actually. They look and sound good which is unusual these days. Also like the traditional names on the 88s revived from the 76 and 77 locomotives. royaloak
A short video of todays 68 leaving crewe station. Why is it captioned as 68023 when its clearly 68026?
RMweb Premium JDW Posted January 8, 2019 RMweb Premium Share Posted January 8, 2019 Probably just a carless tipping error. We all make them from thyme to thyme.
RMweb Gold 4630 Posted January 23, 2019 RMweb Gold Share Posted January 23, 2019 68020 Reliance and 68031 worked back from Scarborough to Longsight as 0M68 on 23rd January 2019, pictured passing Ravensthorpe. There's a rumour on another forum that the first appearance of a class 68 with a Nova 3 Mark 5 set between York and Scarborough is due to take place on Friday 25th January, although there's nothing showing on the schedule as yet.
RMweb Gold 4630 Posted January 24, 2019 RMweb Gold Share Posted January 24, 2019 The times are now in the schedule on 25th January for what is likely to be the first visit of a TPE class 68 and Nova 3 Mark 5 set to Scarborough. 3Q98 http://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/train/K04573/2019/01/25/advanced 3Q99 http://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/train/K04572/2019/01/25/advanced Gen given in good faith, so the usual disclaimers apply.
RMweb Gold 4630 Posted February 19, 2019 RMweb Gold Share Posted February 19, 2019 Now that Dapol's class 68 in TPE livery has been released in case anyone is interested in doing a very light weathering job on it, here are a few photos of 68022 Resolution and 68027 showing the subtle weathering that is now taking place, particularly on the bodysides. The photos were taken at York on 18th February 2019. 68027 68024 Resolution Larger images are available via the link to my website in the signature below.

RMweb Premium Legend Posted August 15, 2019 RMweb Premium Share Posted August 15, 2019 I think these are stunning looking locomotives, especially in TPE livery. Glad I purchased Brutus in TPE livery when I did. Just need Accurascale mk5s now and they look like they are progressing well. 1

RMweb Gold Market65 Posted November 23, 2019 RMweb Gold Share Posted November 23, 2019 Here’s 68027, Splendid, on Thursday, 26th September, this year. Wet weather conditions, but it still makes a fine sight at Scarborough station, platform one. It was waiting to form the 16.44 departure. Best regards, Rob.
