Totally new to DCC:

I have been offered a Guagemaster Prodigy with some wireless handhelds.

I have decided to use Lenz decoders - sound, lights and other "bells and whistles" not required.

Are the two compatible is the simple question?

Thanks

Yes, is the simple answer.

Wireless handsets (plural?), lucky you. Would suggest you obtain some re-chargeable AAA's to use in them with a separate charger. Easier and simpler than having to plug the handsets into the base/command station to charge them - which means you are then tethered to it.

Good luck, have fun!

Just to re-affirm, many of my trains are Lenz Silver + v2 and I also use the Prodigy Advance - no problems.

Well, tell a lie, the only problem I have is my wiring on the tracks :P

Did have a large problem when fitting a Class 52 and a Class 170 (with expres models lights), but a nice member from here (I think?) worked it out and got them both working for me.
