Hey, look what turned up in the post!

Initial euphoria was tempered with a modicum of disappointment as they are actually a bit poorly and will need repairs before they start 'ting!'-ing. Nevertheless, thanks to Barry Young for bringing these to my attention.

Room for more if there's any others gathering dust out there ...

Hopefully the technology is sufficiently simple to be repairable.

Three coils, each with two wires (or the two ends of one very long length of wound wire to be pedantic!), one common terminal plus 3 individual terminals. I think even I can get my head around that.

The beauty of the pre-digital age!

When they were new, they had a reputation for being frail.
Best of luck with the repairs.

Hmm... having seen what I've seen of them so far that doesn't come as a complete surprise. It certainly looks as if someone else has already had a go at them.

I'll see what I can do in the beefing up department ...

Model Railways are quiet a global phenomena.  Last night watching a railway journey video in China, the author showed the Bachmann shop in Shanghai station.  Three full display cases,  Some pretty neat stuff.  See reason for Edit

Seniors Moment I had meant to post this on Wright Writes where I think it is more appropriate
