More Oxford Rail Dean Goods improvements

Recommended Posts

I've previously described my conversion of lined GWR green 2309 into unlined BR Black 2538 using new chimney, smokebox door, washout plugs and tender filler/dome. Now I've started using Fusion 360 I can offer the smokebox door with any number and shed code (tweaked to print better now too) and have drawn up a new top feed to replace the thing that looks like a bracelet on the OR model.

Available on Shapeways, and experimentally I have some 2409 doors on order in a white resin which will make painting much much easier if they turn out OK, as my 2538 shows my inability to get white paint perfectly on the raised numbers! The top feed is destined for a model of 2354, which will also need some new front steps.
