Michanglais
Hi, Could someone let me know what type of coupling system is used on the locos of the Dapol HST? Are there swing systems to allow for fully flush coupling as between the coaches? Is there a NEM pocket to at least allow slightly closer coupling? Many thanks in advance, Michael
frobisher
I don't own the HST MK3s, but I have the loco hauled variants. Yes, they have a close coupling mechanism, and yes they have NEM pockets (I seem to recall they ship with Dapol's knuckle couplers (non-magnetic) as well as the normal Rapido ones). I believe the HST power cars also have a ccm.
RMweb Gold Adam1701D Posted December 11, 2017 RMweb Gold Share Posted December 11, 2017 The power cars have bogie mounted couplers in NEM pockets.

Vonzack
If you use the Dapol dummy knuckles (short), you can get the gaps between the coaches to next to nothing and they should run on R2 without issues. It can be fun coupling them up initially though ;-)
