.............Damin Keenan has a suitable O gauge switching track planning idea, using a minimum number of cars and locos, here http://model-railroad-hobbyist.com/node/31878

It has definite possibilities for HO, and also for N gauge modellers, even an exhibition layout. Based on the Kingsbury Branch in Chicago with street running, scenic-ing possibilities are endless too. As a contributor commented it could be built in 48" x 48" in N

Pictures come from a group on Flickr and here http://chicagoswitching.com .I've posted the Flickr link here before as it's well worth a look https://www.flickr.com/groups/1793636@N21/pool/

I already have bandit MP15AC and a SOO geep curtesty of Athearn, a couple of airslides from Tangent and tank cars from Atlas(slightly to modern) .

F-UnitMad, there's a Pecos River CF-7 on eBay now...

Thanks,

Damin.

Thanks. I do keep an eye out for them, but only to drool. Apart from the actual cost of the model - which for brass is a good start price, the shipping to UK is $38.95, which these days is par for the course, but import duty ('VAT') is an eye-watering $178 on top - & that would rise dependant on final cost. :(

Someone else will end up being the proud owner of this model. :locomotive:

Think I would leave this one as it has been dropped, repaired & "sympathetically weathered" ie badly to cover the repairs - not what I would want if I was dropping the best part of £400 on a loco

Leaving aside the question of how something that has been dropped and "badly damaged" can be considered "like new", does the $178 incude the £8 (or has it gone up?) the Post Office charge for collecting it?

Relisted, still at $499.99....
