RMweb Gold scottystitch Posted January 16, 2018 RMweb Gold Share Posted January 16, 2018 Hello everyone Limit speed on freight or passenger train on branch lines on 1990s It would really depend on a number of variables: Era/Time Period Which particular branch How the permanent way was laid (distance between sleepers, etc.) Tightness of curves level crossings, guarded, unguarded, etc The list kind of goes on I would think. The speed limit may also be variable based on which engine or unit was being driven. All the above being teh case, can you give us some more information? Turbo_Tim
Always think the line down to Coombe Junction looks like a train set with its tight curves and the elevated view you get from Liskaerd Viaduct. Got to go for a ride down there sometime.

Got to go for a ride down there sometime. It is a really nice slow meander alongside the river.
