pete_mcfarlane
Whilst looking for something else, I spotted some rather nice photos of Dublin and Blessington steam trams online, which lead me to this site operated by Dublin Libraries: http://source.southdublinlibraries.ie/handle/10599/27/simple-search?query=blessington+tram&rpp=100&sort_by=0&order=DESC&etal=0&submit_search=Update A lot of the images are taken by Henry Casserley. As ever his photos are wonderful, like this one: http://source.southdublinlibraries.ie/bitstream/10599/3975/1/wm_1209.jpg . There's something slightly endearing about the double cabbed 2-4-2s
rue_d_etropal
It is one of those lines that you cannot forget, once you have seen some photos of it. It was far more than those locos and tramcar coaches. Unfortunately there is very little written about it, but I got a copy of the booklet on it. Nice as a basic reference but unfortunately not enough about the stock used, as with a few measurements it should be possible to do a scale drawing of the locos and coaches. Quite a bit of freight stock as well. The original tramway did get extended, and there were plans to extend that extension down to Rathdrum. Apart from a map in the booklet, there is no other info, but think that might have been part of a grander plan to create jobs in that area. It has given me an idea for a small layout based on that, but would like to get more info on the original stock. The only stock with drawings is the preserved railcar which had gone to the Donegal line .
