Billy Flathead
Great job Brian, love the broken wall and the faded paint. Are you doing the station building and house? David.
Billy Flathead
Good idea to keep it open to a later date. It would be a through route from Sheffield/Tinsley/Attercliffe to Stairfoot and Cudworth so you can run almost anything. In the Rails Through Barnsley picture in post #177, behind the finial, is our school playing field, so if I could see a loco in the sidings I would walk up instead of waiting for the bus. Then walk home through Barrow pit yard.
3 link
Looks great Brian, What size area have you got to play with? Martyn.
Simond
If you were into 4 wheel locos, and 4 wheel wagons you’d get a colliery-type or dockside roundy-roundy in that space. But anything else will eat it very quickly as you say! If you bend your plan into a broad but shallow U could you get the scenic bit in the middle and a fiddle yard at either end? I guess it depends where the door is. Best Simon
Simond
Oh, that’s good. I figured 4’9” radius would be a bit tight, but if it works, bring it on! I’m loving the smoke stained brickwork. Keep it coming! Best Simon
3 link
Hi Brian, My layout is in a room 19' x 15' and like you say in 7mm it doesn't go as far as you expect it to. I look forward to seeing your updates. Martyn.
cheesysmith
I just thought you might like some pictures of the real bridge at fife St you modeled. The first 3 are of the ex GC bridge which ran from meadowhall to dovecliffe. Edited September 14, 2018 by cheesysmith
