I still can't connect to the new site and I don't have any contact addresses to ask a question on. Anybody know if it is up and running again or is it still being done. it was supposed to take a few days but a week has gone by and all I get when logging in is errors. Like this>>> Index of / Name Last modified Size Description cgi-bin/ 2018-02-17 13:07 - and then this>>> ForbiddenYou don't have permission to access /cgi-bin/ on this server. Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request. gazmanjack Posted February 18, 2018 Share Posted February 18, 2018 Hello Barnaby, We currently have been running updates on our facebook page and also via our News Letter, the Footbridge. The migration of the forum is bigger than what was first anticipated. Hopefully we will be up and running soon as I have been asked today, to log in (as a Mod) to see if the passwords have been carried through correctly. Once the Admin/Mods team can access the site without any hiccups, we will then open it to our members. Barnaby Posted February 18, 2018 Author Share Posted February 18, 2018 Thanks Gary I can now connect to the forum but not LOG IN. It says PASSWORD ERROR and won't let me try FORGOT PASSWORD option. I'll leave it a little longer as it is probably still under updating. Also part of the same thing is I can't post anywhere as I have to be signed in which is a classic catch 22. the Forum is looking good so far so I need to be a little more patient to get full access. I get the password reset email but when I use it fails with "Please enter a value for the required field 'user_group_id'." If I select "forgot my password" it sends me an email to set a new one, but when I do this it says my username is unknown. I've tried selecting the "contact us" button but all that does is refresh the front page. But I can see without being able to login that other users are doing so successfully. They have posted that some people are having issues logging in and are working on it but it might take some time to get through them all. I'll post RFS is having log on issues on their forums to see if that helps.. I myself was in the same boat until moments before I had posted this. Migrating forums is a big ask, especially if you wish to retain all the members posts from the previous years, as what we have done. Other forums that have migrated have actually shut down or closed off the existing content. This is what we did not want to do. If anyone else is having trouble signing in, please bear with us. Wolseley Posted March 29, 2018 Share Posted March 29, 2018 (edited) I had to have the hard drive on my computer reformatted recently due to a fault in one sector. I didn't lose any data, emails, documents or images, but I did lose all of my saved passwords. In the case of the one I used for Platform 1, it was one of those computer generated ones which, of course, I can't remember. I have tried the reset password option but, although it says I am being sent an email, I never receive one and I have tried several times, most recently half an hour ago (yes, I have been checking in my junk mail folder). Clicking on the "Contact Us" link doesn't achieve anything useful either - it only brings up the forum's home page. I have sent an email so hopefully one of the admin team can fix this up.
