I'm trying to look for some technical information on the model itself, but cant find it. Does anyone know if any has been published? Specifically around DCC decoder socket size, space for a speaker etc?

Whats the automatic uncoupling mode?

Press the function key and the loco will back up, pause, uncoupling sound, then move forward.

This is a feature on ESU Decoders used for Krois Couplings.

The project was recorder at Aviemore during a full day recording session in 2019

Yes its on ESU LokSound Decoders.

It did visit the SVR and was lovely to drive. It looks like a fantastic model to me, although LMS or BR black would only be appropriate for me anyway

Am just following this thread and have found this video when it visited the SVR in 2011

For Rails/DC kits, could either of you provide a short video perhaps of this DCC module and the quality it gives of the 812 class recordings?

It's a lot of money to spend blindly, regardless of how much I would like a sound fitted version, and I'm betting I'm not in this boat alone.

Just seen an Instagram post from Rails... delivery now 'mid September'. Last I saw it was June... :cray_mini2:

It's actually looking like the announced much later Improved Precedent is going to be on the shelves first at this rate.....

Theres a worryingly large amount of models coming in September/October this year... its going to be expensive for everyone... consumers and trade.

I think retailers/manufacturers are going to have to introduce instalment plans etc - I believe Accurascale already do?

I haven't checked with UK retailers but in France model shops have started allowing online payment in 3 or 4 instalments, as have retailers specialising in photography kit. Quite handy to be able to spread the cost of £500 multiple unit or a £1500 drone or lens for example... much easier than putting a stop to the spending

Very much looking forward to this. Have the original Caly Blue DCC Sound on order. Do we know anything about the motor at all? 5-pole/3-pole with/without flywheel? Also whether this has also wheel there is all wheel pickup?

It won't change my decision but I am curious.

im hoping not , but it could be coreless.  Latest Bachmann  locos , like the 94xx have coreless motors and I believe the Precedent will be Coreless .

Call me traditional but I too would definitely hope for a non-coreless in a loco of this size and for this money but if the Precedent is then it sounds likely.
