pointstaken
"5 months delay", then more delaying tactics - someone needs a kick in the g*****s with a pair of hobnailed boots !! Dennis
Clay Country
It really is a shame that some beauracrat sees fit to jeopardise the future of this project. The Llangollen is a fantastic railway that will be even more fantastic when it runs all the way to Corwen. Let's hope something happens to shift the balance back in the railway's favour. Coddy
It will be going ahead Not just yet, but we are getting ready by getting things in place, plans at the mo are just a basic platform at Corwen, no run round loop (Yet) and either top and tail trains or use DMU. GreenDiesel
I just learned about this yesterday -- it sounds as if everything is going ahead: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-north-east-wales-14685551. I'm excited about this. My wife & I rode on the Llangollen Railway in 1996 when we were visiting family near Manchester -- I'd love to go back. RA & FC
Things are still progressing with the extension. Tree cutting, trackbed prep and track laying is underway at the moment. The aim is still to have the first mile and a half to Bonwm halt, open for the Steel, steam and stars 3 event next April.
