18B
Evening, after Kingmoor shut in 88, Upperby received an allocated of its 08s until 1995, but by that time who ran it? Also in the Directory of British Engine sheds its says Currock had 08s until it closed in 1999 but the site http://www.gronkgeek.co.uk/2015/ says EWS closed it in 2007. Would anyone know what happened in that 1995 to closure of Currock?
black and decker boy
Upperby was Intercity but may have then become RES in 95? It was used to store (and scrap) surplus parcels vans, engineers fleet 31s etc
Calimero
Think EWS had control of it in end as it was a dumping ground for old wagons.
Luke Piewalker
https://www.flickr.com/photos/36034969@N08/11160950186 Apparently they said they were closing Currock by 1999 but somehow just didn't!
