dpearce
Sorry for my ignorance, can someone clarify which of these are new releases and which are re-releases? I feel I got carried away thinking the 33/1 was a retool! Ta! D
metadyneman
33114 is now pre-ordered. A welcome re-run which will go nicely with my two 4-TCs in NSE livery.( I suspect this is why it is being re-issued being the only 33/1 that made it into NSE livery) I refused to pay the stupid prices this model was fetching on the thiefbay! Not it matters a jot because it’s your railway and it will look very pretty but 114 got its stripes just as the TCs (in toothpaste at least) were being withdrawn. I feel I got carried away thinking the 33/1 was a retool! Ta! D #3344 33114 in revised NSE livery and #3346 D6580 in green syp livery are the re-releases. Both of these were originally issued in 2006.
dj_crisp
Yep, never seen 114 with a 4TC, only seen Dutch and blue with NSE 4TCs Nearly a 4TC https://flic.kr/p/cm5otf And I can't quite work this one out https://flic.kr/p/cm5oF7 can add a construction 33/0 as well, I'm sure i saw one on flickr. Personally I like mine with a 4TC (and with some NSE Mk2s). I'm tempted to have a go at converting one to 33035 but also not prepared to pay the current Ebay prices! cheers Will

dj_crisp
I think you're right.... I guess it's a 207.... and 33114 is probably just stabled there. I believe it was repainted in May1992 in time for the Ashford 150 celebrations, which I think is after the last in service 4TC. But not in my world

RMweb Gold Dan Bennett Posted December 7, 2018 RMweb Gold Share Posted December 7, 2018 (edited) Just been looking at the pictures of these upcoming locos, and I notice that the model of 33111 is fitted with the wrong type of fuel tank. 33111 has only ever carried the original style fuel tank with the cutaway section. Would it be too late for Heljan to rectify an error like this? Edited December 7, 2018 by Dan Bennett
SouthernMafia
According to Kernow, latest 33s are on their way to the UK.

Would it be too late for Heljan to rectify an error like this? So - would I need to renumber to an alternate Class 33/1 or is there a part I could swap-in instead to make it right (and if so where sourced)? Many thanks in advance for shedding any light! RMweb Gold Roy Langridge Posted December 20, 2018 RMweb Gold Share Posted December 20, 2018 I tried contacting Heljan a month ago to see if they could supply the correct type fuel tank for me to swap it over myself, but they have failed to respond to my email I am a bit fed up on this one. I specifically wanted 33111 as it was my last class 33 needed and was always, thereafter, a favourite. acquiring the name "sticks" from my mate and I. The artwork had the right tanks but it seems, alas, Heljan have messed up. I will contact them as well and we will see if they can do something. I did have a look at the Hejan spares available at Howes, the correct tanks are not. Roy
JSpencer
I have heard that the most perfect diesel ever 33056 is on its way to me. If only those ESSO tanks were available without the 33.

217 RIVER FLESK
Have to agree, if only the tanks were available separately - hint, hint. Sadly for Heljan, I've already too many Cromptons & whilst a good price for the set, it's just not going to tempt me. Plus whilst it's nice to have individually numbered wagons, I'd have preferred a spread of numbers & not four consecutive ones, but that's just me Mike C
