Well, what's 2 years between friends, although for me it's done Parkside/Peco a favour as I have built all I need! (OK, not exactly the same diagram, but, hey ho)

The sphere of operation of the MEO wagons has been mentioned, from my time on Bristol TOPS

commencing in 1978 I remember that they appeared as odd ones or twos on the regular

flow of coal from the East Midlands to the ROF at Puriton, but mixed in with the far more regular MCOs.

I think the loading colliery was Gedling or perhaps Calverton.

At that time they would arrive at Bridgwater on the daily 08 worked trip up from Taunton.

When empty they would pick up an East Midlands destination. That traffic ceased around 1980/81,

and I do not remember seeing them on domestic coal traffic in the south west.

cheers

The summer edition of the Bachmann Times, which came out a couple of days ago, has a full page spread with photos of the final livery samples of, I think, all of the versions. There are 10 wagons shown in the article. It stated that the models have been cleared for production.

The wait is nearly over! We have received confirmation that these wagons are now in production and are likely to be with us a little earlier than the quarter 4 we originally expected, they will now be arriving in late July or August. HOT OFF THE PRESS!

We have just been advised that the first of our exclusive 24.5T Mineral Wagons will be arriving at the Bachmann warehouse in Barwell next week! It took us by surprise too, but what a pleasant surprise.

In view of the short period between announcing our special pre-order price of £25.50 for a single pack and £50.95 for a double pack we will honor that price for both pre-orders and any wagons purchased in the 4 weeks following their arrival here at Beckhole which looks like it will be about 14th June.

Hi,

Do you know what version is arriving?

Also if i order two different packs but one goes into stock and the other one doesn't would that mean that you would hold the order and wait for the other pack to arrive or do you send the pack that arrived and send the other pack at a later date instead? as i would like to get a single and a double pack.

Thanks,

Samuel.

Hello Samuel

We should be getting some of each, the consignment has been split so it should be okay to order a single and a double pack together.

all the best!

If that's factory applied weathering, and not bespoke, sent to the factory for use as example templates; it's bl**dy impressive.

9/10  (and I'm a hard marker)

It's TMC's custom weathering up on the moors. Nice job.

Apologies Paul, I didn't realise the site takes exception to inserting the name of a gentleman of far eastern extraction!

RMWeb, the new missing words game.

Mike.

Englishman. Just testing.

Hmmm, the site seems to be racist as well.

Nice delivery from the postman a few minutes ago......

DSC_0392.JPG.5c451a25a7da5f55cda2246616d3cc1b.JPG

Lovely wagons, with nice chassis detail and they're neither too heavy nor too light.

My only gripe (which I was aware of anyway from the decorated samples) is the dark shade of grey. This may be fine for the steam era wagons, but in the 70's they were a lot lighter in appearance, as per Accurascale's HUO and MDO.

It's not stopped me buying a couple, as I will always support any manufacturer that makes an effort to produce a proper model from an era that has historically only been covered by wagons with horrendous generic chassis! I'll just have to get the paint brush out and do some modelling. Besides, there'll be heavily weathered anyway.

Otherwise, lovely models which I'm pleased to own.

Regards,

Cameron
