Watching all of the clips I've decided I prefer this over the Allagash, I'm not a fan of Mike Confalone's bare tree secenry, don't get me wrong, it's skilfull. I just prefer more green. The other thing here is most of the locos are fairly stock with just enough detail to be convincing, RS3m excepted. Add in effect of good weathering on everything, brings the whole layout together. Can't wait for more.

To be fair to Mike, his late winter/early spring scenery is peerless. I think the reason I wouldn't ever model it (even if I could) is that it's just so... gloomy!

I am a railroad modeller to have fun and escape the general hum-drum of daily life that is slowly grinding me down into an early grave, so prefer my layouts to be much, much more vibrant.

I think this D&H layout benefits from a modeller who is just as skilled as Mike Confalone, modelling a season which is much more cheerful, with a railroad that is much more colourful. :D
