I'll be there, God willing, with Tormouth Quay  -  as featured in Model Rail #246, April 2018.

Come along & say "hello".  If you want to play trains for a little while you're very welcome.  If you want to join "the team" for future exhibitions you'll be even more welcome!

You will also have the opportunity to shunt on my HS2. A well executed simple 2 point

DCC & Kadee shunting puzzle. One end where some rubbish is being burnt, we hope

no sparks get into the gunpowder van before the end of July !!

Why HS2 ? - HS1 turned out to suit left-handed drivers and I'm right-handed 'nuff said !

Lane End a compact 009 layout is enough to tempt others to make up an interesting scenic layout in a small space.

All being well there should be 4 x 009 layouts to see.

Back to realizing just how much work can be involved in running a larger layout at an exhibition.

It's freight ..... HOW many wagons ? Currently sorted out 164 that are going, and hankering after

at least another 20 !!

Currently stacked in the shed :-

Now to find and box all the buildings and nit-knacks, animals, builders merchants stock and .............

Just as well I still have 2 weeks !!

It'll be a good day after which I think I'll need a holiday !!

My last shout for this our first enlarged exhibition, we hope to be the first of

many at this new location.

Currently working my way through 6 pages of 'check lists' to have everything

required on hand - like a battery powered soldering iron !!

Please come and enjoy, including having a go on the 'U' drive shunting layout

Look for the sign !

I'm booked in with Tormouth Quay  -  see photo earlier in thread, also Model Rail #246, April 2018.

I had 3 co-operators lined up but almost unbelievably I've lost all 3, each for very different reasons, within the last 24 hours.

If you're going to the show & would like to play for a while, please make yourself known - don't be shy!

Better still, send me a pm before the event so I know you're coming.

Ouch devonseasider,

That's not what you want ! Most of the Bridport club members have jobs to do, but

we should be able to find someone to help for a while ............

How easy is it to set-up ?

When were you coming to set-up ? Friday evening, or Saturday morning ??

Hi Graham, Very sorry to hear this. I am not able to make this show I'm afraid, but I wish you the best of luck with finding some help. I hope the new car's OK this time!

All the best,

Dave

I'll set up Friday.

May need a hand to lift everything out of the car but otherwise not too difficult a job (as long as there's a fridge nearby - my body thermostat doesn't seem to work properly these days!)

If you find a little pool of water on the floor that'll be me.

Cheers, Dave.  New donkey seems to like its carrots so far.  Fingers crossed.

See you the following Saturday, all being well.  Your turn to buy the bacon butties.
