RMweb Gold melmoth Posted July 26, 2018 RMweb Gold Share Posted July 26, 2018 Could one of the Bridport gang please confirm the opening times. Is it 10 - 4 as shown in the opening post of this thread, or 10 - 5 as stated on the "exhibitor's invitation" letter received from Bob some time ago? Ta muchly. I can't speak for the club, but the posters they've used to advertise the show locally say 10 til 4.

Dad-1
What can I say ....... all the exit comments were that it was good and so much better than our old accommodation in the United Reform Church hall in central Bridport where parking is so difficult to find. Signing off Summer exhibitions until the last weekend in July 2019 - Same venue !! To cap it all my Castell Mawr was voted best in show by the visiting public. We ended with a Hornby 42XX pulling 57 ...... To think a guy once told me he'd read in some review that they didn't have very good traction ?? - What ?? Special thanks to all our visiting layouts, traders and guys in the club particularly Terry for spending much of the day outside monitoring parking. steve45
I really wanted to visit this show, but I had to help my son move house yesterday, its a shame it wasn't over two days, however I intend to visit next year Steve Edited July 29, 2018 by steve45
RMweb Premium DLT Posted July 29, 2018 RMweb Premium Share Posted July 29, 2018 I too was unable to attend, delivering family to an event in Somerset. Really pleased to hear it went so well, and that the new venue was a success. Cheers, Dave.
pushpull33
Thanks for inviting Parkstone Goods. We had a really good day and lots of good comments. The show was well organised and a good location. A most enjoyable day.
Dad-1
Thanks for the comment pushpull33, Your very nice compact layout made me envious on the day !! I took 4 hours to fully set-up. We will be back at the same location in 2019, probably 27th July, but that has yet to be confirmed. Dad-1
guzzler17
Any chance of some post-2000 layouts for the show next year? Steam and BR blue doesn't hold the attention of younger attendees as much as the colourful liveried engines that are around these days. Private message me if you'd like to discuss some more.
