Im heading down Norfolk end of August and was hoping to catch some 37 services out of Norwich, and well out of any Anglian gen, will these new units have taken over by then?

Slightly firmer date of Monday now given for the short set going to hot standby and a 755 into service - one of the drivers has been briefed and there's staffing in place for Monday.

Still not 100% until it happens but .. the end is very nigh unfortunately.

755 410 just left Norwich, presumably to Lowestoft to form the first in-service train.

A member of staff said it had left Norwich in service but I don't think it was. The only occupants looked like staff. And I was the only non staff person to see it go out.

755 testing has ramped up with several Norwich - Ipswich - Norwich runs each day now.

I'm aware that a test train made it to Sheringham shortly after the platform was lengthened, but I understood a bridge (nr. Runton?) needed some work before regular runs? Can anyone confirm that?

It's great that the 755 has begun on the Yarmouth/Lowestoft route, I'm just curious as to how far down the pecking order Cromer/Sheringham is.

I've not heard that one Pete

Probably Chinese whispers, Russ. The bridge over Beeston Road nr. Sheringham always looks spit thin (you can see daylight when walking under it and looking up), so I wondered if it was that one. I'm sure they're all fine and I got that wrong.

That got a big repair a few years back after a lorry hit it , moved it but didn't report it.

A train came in had a bit of a wobble over it but stayed in sheringham until a bridge examiner came and escorted it over and the line was shut for a few days until it was repaired.

The bridges on Hall road and felbrigg roads are not to good but will be ok for the new stuff

A class 755 was (apparently) due to debut on the Norwich - Cambridge - Norwich services this morning.

"06:33 Cancelled due to a train fault"

Bedding in new stock, to be expected.

If I'm aware of when it is due to run I might try and get a picture...

They are a bit quiet .I thought about trying to get phone  shot at Thorpe St Andrew of them crossing the bridge but no warning  of them approaching .As  neither my wife  or the dogs were prepared to sit with an idiot holding a phone up for hours the  shot went untaken,
