RMweb Gold Phil Bullock Posted June 1, 2018 RMweb Gold Share Posted June 1, 2018 We were out fishing on the Usk at Trallong between Brecon and Sennybridge yesterday. Theres a very interesting looking rail over road over river bridge at Trallong - road bridge still survives but not rail although very substantial abutments are still there. Have googled but blanked - can anyone point out a picture or two please? Heres hoping!Phil
009 micro modeller
Is this it? http://s0.geograph.org.uk/geophotos/04/48/19/4481929_2c3faba5.jpg Can't find one with the rail bridge intact though I'm afraid.
RMweb Gold Phil Bullock Posted June 1, 2018 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted June 1, 2018 (edited) Is this it? http://s0.geograph.org.uk/geophotos/04/48/19/4481929_2c3faba5.jpg Can't find one with the rail bridge intact though I'm afraid. Indeed it is! The railway side of it looks very solid. Hope that road bridge is too - there was a significant accumulation of large timber debris on the upstream side yesterday, including a whole tree wedged across the two pillars Phil Edited June 2, 2018 by Phil Bullock
009 micro modeller
Does the railway actually cross over the road diagonally like 'Three Bridges' in Southall (although that one is actually road over river over rail)?

Never knew it existed. It really would be interesting to find a photo of it. My own searches so far have drawn a blank. Paul J.
Coppercap
Does the railway actually cross over the road diagonally like 'Three Bridges' in Southall (although that one is actually road over river over rail)? Actually it's the Grand Union Canal, not a river.

Time to start looking for books on the Neath and Brecon I think. Cakebox challenge? Phil
