tmcg1959
Took delivery of two GNR(i) locos today from OO Works to work at Omagh Goods Yard. The beautiful U Class 4-4-0 and new all black UG Class 0-6-0. Well worth waiting for, thanks to OO Works.
RMweb Gold Colin_McLeod Posted June 6, 2018 RMweb Gold Share Posted June 6, 2018 Nice models tmcg1959. I have a UG and am now regretting not ordering a U. Looking forward to my J15 though.
kirley
Glad to see you finally got your two 00 Works locomotives Tony. I can only imagine you wore them down over the months with constant requests for these two models, well done, it just shows if you really want something don't give up. The UG looks better to my liking without the lining, I weathered mine to dull them down.
tmcg1959
Kieran, yes I'm glad I pestered them! The UG was assembled with the last remaining spares available, no lining, no numbers, no GN crest. I think I should be able to pick up these somewhere and apply myself.
tmcg1959
The makings of the Goods Store at Omagh made from 3mm birch ply shell and Metcalfe stone card. Windows dressed with Wills Scenic Red Brick arches.
Horsetan
...The UG was assembled with the last remaining spares available, .... Note to all previous UG buyers: don't break or damage your models, as they won't be easily repaired now there are no spares left! SG class transfers here - could something be cobbled together for the UG? Edited June 13, 2018 by Horsetan
