Yes, well spotted! I hadn't noticed that myself.

The 'double arrow' was normally to the left of the 'InterCity' of course, whichever side of the power car it was on.

I wonder if 43053 was a one off? No doubt someone will have pictures of others if it wasn't.

Trevor

Two photos of 43053 from 1988/89 suggests that it perhaps was a one off.  Maybe this was the result of a simple error on the part of the person applying the decals.

Love the Selby Swing bridge shot.

The lorry incident would have shut the line if it happened today (it probably did!)

Regards & Keep up the cracking photos.

43015_43022 arrive at Pembroke Dock on a dismal 01Sep18 with 1B01 Swansea-Pembroke Dock. The run-down and rationalised PMB is a sad sight. Just 08Sep left for the HSTs to come here. What will happen in 2019 is anyone's guess as the 800's (being longer carriages) can't negotiate Narberth tunnel.

Just passed Laira this evening on the way back from work and noticed one of the scotrail liveried power cars in Laira by itself. Couldn’t get any pictures.

43149 London end, 43140 Friary end, if they were on the blocks in 7 carriage (4 rows in from the fence then I put them there, if they were on 4 carriage (a through road much nearer the shed) then they were waiting for me to move them.

They are down there because 43149 is due a G exam and it has been agreed for GWR to carry out the work.

Yes it was 43149 in 7 carriage. Thanks for the info

It always cool seeing unusual stuff in the depot. Reminds me of the depot open days there used to be when I was a kid in the 80s

Edit

Nice job you’ve got.
