There was a blue pullman HST at Eastleigh on Monday this week. Are there more than 2 now or had it come down for a repaint after the repairs?

43046 and 43055 again, on it’s way to St.Pancras from Carlisle, nice to see it on a ‘proper’ express service never thought I would see it though my neck of the woods,it’s times like this I wish I had a better camera, but good to see all the same.

I took my dad on a jolly to Carlisle and back yesterday aboard the Staycation Express; thoroughly recommended! A couple of pics of the power cars 43058 and 43059 below at Skipton and Carlisle …

Rail Adventures liveried HST power car shares siding space with a Blue Pullman liveried mark III at Eastleigh Arlington works. I understand this is 43480 - 3rd September 2021

Note that it now has a top headlight.

Just a hole at the moment, but it give you an indication of what's coming. And before anyone says so , it isn't being re-united with the (sorry but rubbish) original headlight covers - the "refurbished" headlights will be returning to it once the modifications have been made.

Don't you just hate digital cameras!?

DSCF1203.JPG.b172f4e4d5f94b90ce0766991d0ddeba.JPG

This was the only one of three attempts to catch the NMT in open countryside which I managed to catch with my old Fuji Finepix A700.

Thios was the working: https://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/service/gb-nr:58868/2021-09-06/detailed

The time lag between pressing the shutter button and the photo being taken is so slow as to be embarrassing.

Looks decidedly fuzzy as well.

Might be time for a new camera, any suggestions?

Regards

Ian

I had the same problem with my Fuji Finepix S9500. I got round it by pre focussing by pressing in the shutter gently at the spot where the loco was due to be. I now have a Canon!
