RMweb Premium Phil Mc Posted April 24, 2021 RMweb Premium Share Posted April 24, 2021 Surely it would have been worth fitting a cyclops light, even if working in this country isn’t the intended role for them?   Just fitting the same as what’s on the ‘Pullman’ power cars would make them compliant with all the rules of not needing Yellow ends, and, I guess, would not have been such a significant cost while they were in the workshops anyway. I can’t imagine the owners would do the press release to launch their ‘new’ product, then immediately alter the livery by painting Yellow ends on them.  Just seems they are needlessly limiting the sphere of operation.  cheers, Phil.

50002Superb
As you can probably tell I’m trying to record a bit of the final few days of the HSTs on the MML.  Can anyone help with what their planned to work on Sunday please?  There is engineering work at LSP so the services suggested here are incorrect:  https://www.125group.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2021/03/EMRDiagramsMar2021.pdf  the revised timetable for the MML can be found here:  https://www.eastmidlandsrailway.co.uk/sites/default/files/assets/media/20210427/eh-FF2vfAGoh1o26B7kEhj8gqTI0it4NG6XMaYb_Ttw/shf-stp_wk05_sun.pdf

RMweb Gold Patriot87003 Posted May 6, 2021 RMweb Gold Share Posted May 6, 2021 43102 heads the 1B23 Leeds to London away from Langley Mill yesterday morning ... the purple 43274 was at the back ...  I couldn’t resist one last MML journey aboard a HST! So this morning I caught 1B23 to Leicester. The same set as yesterday, with 43102 rolling into Langley Mill ...  With 43274 leading from Nottingham on its way to London, about to depart Leicester ...
Jack374
Well, after seeing the 'celebrity' EMR set on its first day following 43102 being repainted, it was only fitting I headed to Derby last night to see the final HST timetabled passenger service from London arrive and depart. In front of a large gallery, 43102 'The Journey Shrinker' arrived working the 1F70 2002 St Pancras to Leeds East Midlands Railway service, with purple 43274 tailing. A nice touch was the headboard to mark the occasion. End of an era... Â (Linked from Flickr) Â And a video...the number of people present meant some shots were spoiled unfortunately, with people getting too close to the edge despite security's best efforts... Â Thanks, Jack.
