Class 58 pics'

Not a great picture, but a lucky one, of Class 58s passing at speed and in the right place. Apologies for the quality but I was getting the hang of a brand new SLR and using print film. 58022 and 58030 pass Oxford on empty and loaded MGRs from/to Didcot, sometime in the early 80s.

These are the last of my badly scanned cl.58 pics' as my cheapo ALDI scanner has started to let too much light onto them. I have more 58 pics' on CD somewhere, and on 110 film negs' but i can't find a neg' holder anywhere to be able to scan them.  :dontknow: I'll post more when i've sorted the probs' out.

58033 and 58025 are having a rest at Eastleigh, while 3420 passes.

It would appear that the weed killing train had been absent for many a month by May 1995.

That pretty much sums up the reason why I love modelling the imideate post privatisation period. Real locos, real units and bright (real) paint jobs. One day I will get round to makeing a SW division 3rd rail layout set in that time...

58015 comes down the Taff Bargoed Valley with a train of locally quarried stone for Tarmac at Hayes, 5th August 1998.

Looking at that photo I need to get on with weathering my model! Edited by The Fatadder

They were quite rare until just before the loadhaul / Transrail / Mainline era
