Ahh I wish I had a collection like this. I have noticed that ‘polon’ on the top left corner. Is that new?

all the best, Matthew

This is a 33kV termination polon built last year.

Ooh very nice!!

Where is that particular line? Out of interest

Kind regards, Felix

The model was based on one found just outside Winchester with the line running near to  Romsey. The height of this particular design can vary quite considerably.

This model along with the PL1 D30 were built as “feeders” for my substation.4D0D3E14-B0AA-433D-8F29-A51D657A9279.jpeg.e4d0bda42e9c7b3bf8b5c39d01bf5048.jpeg

Oh are you talking about the L6 BICC Dungeness-Bolney-Lovedean-Southampton line?

Very nice SF60, although odd how it is in a JL EVE L6 line,

Also I've noticed that the one in the photo above has a shorter top arm compared to your scale model, Do you know why that is?

Kind regards, Felix

The basic top beam on the BICC SF60 is designed to be moved depending on the degree of deviation , the featured photo illustrates it’s setup for optimum angle .

Isn't that at Broxbourne? If so I have passed that a few times on the train and noticed that a lone L2 DT is involved. The L12 (on the right) came later though

All the best, Matthew

Yes indeed it is! That L2 DT was just off the shot to the right, im guessing those SF60's were balfour beattys although one looks slightly boxier

Ah I thought so, those SF60s look like L2s but I might be completely wrong.

Does anyone have any photos of Bramford substation before the changes have been made (eg pre Sizewell B) or any maps as I am quite interested to see how it looked before?

Is that the one also known as Bullen Lane substation?
