Did you turn the cup upside down to check the back stamp? That's what Stokies do.

Of course! if its not made in Stoke-on-Trent it’s not proper tableware

Well the station masters study is now in place

Apologies for the poor photography, it’s much clearer in the flesh so to speak

I have no clue how to take clearer photos with my iPhone with the interior lights on

Just brilliant Chris! I love Your attention to detail :)

Thanks Steve

I admit that I’ve gone a little OTT with the interiors, especially considering you can hardly see them once they’re installed but I’ve enjoyed doing them which is the main thing

having been made to feel my efforts were a waste of time on another thread (which I won’t be posting on again)

Just walking away is the best thing.

Well Done.

Have you "glass" in the window, Chris? Some people use microscope slides.

There is glazing in the windows although it’s just clear plastic

I've tried to take a photo to show it’s reflectiveness

Unfortunately it also shows how dirty they are :(

Are you planning to have steam rising from the cup?

If you say yes, or indicate the possibility of even investigating such a step, I think we may have to have you committed!

I appreciate my Station building build has been a long drawn out process, for which I apologise, however I’m nearly there now

After having to wait what seemed like an eternity for the nameplates to arrive the doors are finally on

only jobs left to do once the glue on the doors has cured are to install the interiors, finish painting the chimney flashing, weathering the chimneys and a general going over it touching up any areas that need it

This has been my first ever kit bash so thanks to everyone for being patience, although everything I’ve done thus far seems to have taken me twice as long as it should have

Thank you, very good of you to say

Although does this mean I’ve got to cut my ear off and die before it’s appreciated by a wider audience? :jester:

I realise this looks brutal but one thing that bothers me is light bleed

I’m quite sure that in reality when someone has the lights on they don’t get a line of light under their house!

Although I will try, I can’t guarantee that my platform will be perfectly flat (plus there is mortar grooves in the platform top)

So to this end I have sealed around the base of the booking office with my favourite* automotive knifing putty, once cured I’ll make sure it’s sanded flat and give it a coat of black enamel as belt and braces

*knifing putty is my favourite because it’s only three quid and I have an Halfrauds within walking distance to my house

Great stuff fella! Really excited to see what the rest of the layout will hold!! But I fear with this much attention to detail, It could take a very long time... Mind you, with this self isolation malarkey, I’m sure you'll get a lot more progress done :)

I was once told a layout is never really finished....and at this rate it won’t be

I’ve managed to clean up the nameplates so they are a bit clearer (it’s been bugging me all day whilst at work) but please bare in mind they are only 1.5mm high and close up photography is very cruel
