Nice dressing table, should be back in the good better books with Mrs Chris

I’m rarely in Sarah’s bad books, even after trailing sawdust through the house today....oops

I’m very lucky that Sarah has no problem with me turning the dining room into my play room, I mean layout room

Brave man going to Ikea at Nottingham, but the end result looks great.

Don't you know you're not supposed to saw Ikea furniture up, it lets all the Swedish magic out?

Nice job mate,

Al.

I may have done Nottingham a disservice, I was anxious about going to any store of any description in any area.

I wasn’t aware that cutting up Ikea furniture released all the Swedish magic, is there anyway to put it back in?

Thanks Al

You have to collect up all the sawdust, and bake it into a Knäckebröd. Then cover in pickled herring, and consume whilst lying in a bathtub at midnight when the moon is full.

So I've heard...

:D

Hi Chris,

I have an AnyCubic Photon (S) and I'm slowly learning how to get the best out of it. Did you see the complete signal I printed? Some problems still to get my head around but I did manage a hollow ball finial!

I'd be very interested to try a print of your van body if you'd like...???

It’s not as big as the dining table I was using so I’ll have to work a bit smarter (is other words keep it tidy) but I’ve now got drawers to keep my tools close to hand and my airbrush compressor will be going in the cupboard in the right

Do you do anything fancy for the airbrush in terms of a spray booth or just spray it in the room?

I’ve got a spray booth but I admit I’m guilty of just spraying in the room sometimes (I only use water based acrylic though)

That's rather impressive. Would a purpose built modelling table be a Specialised Swearing Surface or something like that?

Absolutely! I might even remove the cup will the brushes in and replace it with a swear jar, although probably not practical because it would require emptying on a regular basis

Finally started to lay stuff out

Looks awesome. What spray booth are you using?

It’s one of these

They appear to have gone up in price since I got mine, I’m sure I didn’t pay more than £60

There are much less parts than the crane but it goes together just as badly and is just as frustrating

Looks like you’ve made a good job of it in spite of that

Given the age and name of the company, I'd imagine anything GWR from Cambrian is going to be an older tooling.

I’m sure you’re right

Would this type of wagon have had a steel or wooden floor?

I only ask because I assumed it would have been steel but I found this whilst doing an image search and thought it looked quite good

Looking good I say. The corners of most open wagon kits are a bit dodgy. But, a tiny bit of filler and lightly round the corner with a file to represent the folded plating or reinforcements on wooden wagons and it looks better than a sharp corner. The instructions for the old Coopercraft Loco coal wagon (all steel) used to recommend doing just that.

I still haven't finished the @#£%&*!!! crane yet, let alone started on the simpler one piece chassis van or Cam Rlys 2 plank.

In my defence I have had a minor prang with one of the bikes (not my fault!) and I have been busy sorting that out.
