I’m wondering if I should just glue them directly under the beams and run the wires down the corners and paint over the wires?

 

Or I’ve got some 0.8 dia brass tubing I could run down the wall (gas pipes?)

ah I see, I’ll have to experiment and see what works best.

 

I’ve got a pack of Ratio concrete lamps, I had thought about hollowing out the lamp head and using those as a kind of industrial lamp shades

that might be difficult with these as they are the tiniest LEDs I’ve ever seen

I always liked to build circuits with pots so I could fine tune them with a screwdriver and a fluke meter.
