I am sorry. It's just that, being involved in typesetting and graphics, that sort of thing catches my eye.

What you've done is brilliant.

Please ignore me.

Edit: I've removed my comment. It was ill-judged.

The transfer paper is quite good, delicate though. The only problem is I can’t print white but black, blue and red print clear enough.

I've had that problem too. While I cannot claim the following is my idea, this is how I did my "white printing". I wanted white livery on a black wagon so I did the background black and the font white.

Paint wagon white where the lettering is and apply decals, then paint around the decals black. Cruel close-up.

On looking closely at said wagon for the photo, I found each side has a different number!!

I never saw your comment but I’m sure it was useful and informative :good:

Unless it said  “that looks poo” then I might have been upset

If it was about the choice of font the only reason I used that font is because the smaller text is only 0.5mm high and fancier fonts like bookman old style and times new Roman didn’t print as clear

I'm also limited to the software I have to use, my employer may start to wonder why I’m requesting software we don’t need

Thanks Rob

For those interested you don’t need anything fancy as long as you have access to a computer and a printer

you can get the paper for laser or injet printers

I don’t own my own printer as I don’t have a  need for one but luckily I have access to one at work which I’m allowed to use as long as I don’t take the proverbial

I can post a link to the paper if anyone is interested?

I use Modelmasters bus* number plate transfers (*sorry @MrWolf at least I’m not putting them on buses) they do quite a few different ones and they have both the rectangular and square plates

Lots of Edinburgh plates (MS) on that sheet though, you might want to mix and match to get something more local for the engineer's van.

Thank you, very interesting

I’m not that concerned about the road vehicles having area correct reg plates though. As long as no two vehicles have the same registration that is good enough for me

There are that many period errors and inconsistencies on Warren that vehicle reg numbers are the least of my worries

Not quick enough. I've already ordered some. It may, of course, turn out to be completely the wrong stuff. We'll see.

Going back to coal sidings, I found this on another forum and ordered myself a set.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/124799420431?ViewItem=&item=124799420431

The conveyer lift might be a bit modern, I don't know, but the rest of the stuff will come in useful. Don't know if Rob @MrWolf is interested too?

They look quite good. I’m yet to take them out of the box for a proper look

They'll be quite delicate so I’ve let them in the packaging before I’m ready to do anything with them….,especially with my clumsy fingers
