It’s our managing director’s 70th at the end of the month and the sales manager challenged me to use my modelling skills? to make a scale model of one of the presses we manufacture As much as I dislike the idea of takin my work home I accepted the challenge and here it is As usual I’ve gone too far and made transfers for the handpump and printed off a dial for the gauge, I don’t think our sales guy is expecting something this accurate Unfortunately because we only use 2D cad at work I’ve had to redraw all the components in 3D so I could print them out hence why Warren has taken a back seat for the last couple of weeks Anyway It’s a 1:25 scale of one of the small manual filter presses we manufacture:- A feed pump and pipework is an option extra Absolutely brilliant Chris. No idea what it is, or does but every home should have one. 1 1 1

RMweb Gold Popular Post chuffinghell Posted July 21, 2021 Author RMweb Gold Popular Post Share Posted July 21, 2021 After a stressful evening waiting for Amazon to deliver a display box that was a last minute ‘request’ I managed to get the project completed last night at the eleventh hour in time for today Anyway it was presented to the MD today and he was taken aback and was quite chuffed and clearly impressed at what had been done I expected my fellow colleagues to take the proverbial but they were genuinely impressed too, easily pleased obviously I’m having a break from modelling for a couple of days to recuperate 7 1

RMweb Gold chuffinghell Posted August 1, 2021 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted August 1, 2021 (edited) I decided to get off my bum and do something on Friday so I looked at adding the signal pulleys Unfortunately I noticed that one of the point rodding has broken off I had to remove the ‘ramp’ and make up a new piece but with a bit of patience and weathering it’s back to how it was now Also extended a sleeper either side to mount the pulley and ground signal Its actually two sleepers glued side by side and then the width cut down to suit the point sleeper Just got to decide where the other pulleys are going Edited August 1, 2021 by chuffinghell 8 1
