MrWolf
I'm putting in the standard issue double gates for bringing churns straight onto the passenger platform. I haven't seen trolleys with red wheels before. It's my understanding that everything was chocolate brown except for the top of trolleys which were natural wood with iron strakes. That red paint may well be preserved railway bling. Bad photo, but here's some that I made earlier. About thirty years earlier. I think that I will change the matt brown finish to gloss Edited April 27, 2021 by MrWolf Picture no attach! 5

MrWolf
Even in summer the temperature isn't high enough to turn milk at 5.30 in the morning, which in pre domestic refrigerator times is when milk got delivered. 2 1

Reminds me of the cricketer who was, shall we say, not the most fleet of foot. One day a cry was heard from the crowd: "Oi, I've seen effing milk turn quicker!" 1

RMweb Gold Popular Post chuffinghell Posted April 29, 2021 Author RMweb Gold Popular Post Share Posted April 29, 2021 (edited) Lights glued in permanently now so the goods shed is finally finished all but a few tiny details here and there The above is when connected directly to a 3v battery but I’ve since soldered in the resistors so it can now connect to 12v and eventually wired via a potentiometer to lower the input voltage to dim the lighting I'll post some daytime photos tomorrow Edited April 30, 2021 by chuffinghell 9 6

Thanks Rob I’ve made the roof so it’s removable so I can open/close the doors and move the crane but otherwise there’s nothing to change As with everything I do I could have done some things differently/better

My grandfather was a development engineer both at work and his hobby. He was constantly improving everything he made, which is why when he died there was a huge amount of things that were unfinished, the design details for half of which died with him. I hope to get to the same stage as Little Muddle, finished, detailed and running, but with plenty of scope for new ideas. 4

RMweb Gold chuffinghell Posted April 30, 2021 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted April 30, 2021 (edited) I’ve just finished pain staking painting this I had 3D printed Its a bit rough (the painting not the print) but it’s the best I could do with the eyesight and shaking hands available I painted the whole thing in white enamel first then once dry painted on black acrylic and wiped the top surface, it wasn’t 100% successful as I had to add/remove a bit here and there If you partially close both eyes and view it from a distance it looks better I asked scale model scenery if they could laser cut me similar to the one I bought but my request has ‘gone on the pile’ and I assume they are asked for custom stuff all the time so having wanted to get it done I asked Tim @cwrailways to 3D printed one from my drawing for me Edited April 30, 2021 by chuffinghell 12
